Janet Foy held a symposium of Dressage Through the Levels at Brec Dressage in Ocala, Florida, presenting each level with two demo riders and a test rider. This session covers Training Level and Janet explains how showing the correct balance is determined by the level. They start by doing halts on the the centerline, and then Janet explains the foibles that occur regularly with the salute. She also gives advice on flipping the whip from side to side during the test. Janet talks through riding correct 20 meter circles, making them round and accurate and properly placed in the arena. They ride the three 20 meter circles in the arena, showing nice forward trots with bending. Janet points out how riding accurate corners now builds the base for upper level movements.
