Catherine Haddad brings us Part 2 of this series on the Collective Marks with a session on Submission. Catherine explains what the elements of submission are, and how to tell if a horse is in submission. She looks at the ears and the facial expression, how he carries his tail, his relaxation, as well as his mouth. She discusses how the frame plays into this as well as obedience. Catherine offers tips on how to improve the submission. She provides and example of how not to ride, with an obvious result in the way the horse goes. As this talented rider gives these bad examples and then returns to riding correctly, you have an unusual opportunity to see how immediately the horse is affected by the seat of the rider.
