Video Description

Mr. Steiner begins with an eight year old mare, and they school the movements necessary to ride the 4-2 test. He discusses the importance of the body position of the rider to have an effective seat. When the mare is too low in the neck, they use the half pass to raise her front end. Axel covers the strategies for warming up before entering the arena to compete. They talk about keeping her in front of the vertical and open in the neck, and why that is so important with this horse.
