See what Dr. Moller does with his five year olds at home, lateral work, canter transitions, corners, haunches in.
This five year old gelding is working on his lateral work. They warm up before the start of the video, and then move straight into the trot work, making sure that the horse is in front of the rider. He points out that riding a corner is riding a quarter of a volte, and that the corners help in achieving a horse that is loose with a swinging back. They continue the rising trot, adding a couple of steps of sitting to balance the horse to prepare him for lateral work.
