Colleen Kelly introduces the concept of biomechanics and demonstrates it’s effectiveness. The total running time of this two part video is 34:30.
In this new video Colleen Kelly introduces us to the basics of riding and biomechanical reasons some common faults happen. The first issue she presents is falling in, especially in corners. She demonstrates through her riding the effect of imbalance in the rider. She presents four items to check: Is the helmet level, are the elbows level with the belt, is there even pressure on the seat bones, and is the weight even in both stirrups. Colleen talks about the various ways riders of many disciplines inadvertently affect the way their horse moves with their body position.
