Nicholas Fyffe was born in 1982 in Finley, NSW, Australia into a racehorse training family and started riding at the age of three. Despite a promising career in elite gymnastics with a state title under his belt, Nicholas at age 17 moved to the NSW Equestrian Centre to work with the Assistant Olympic Coach for eventing. Here Nicholas stayed for the next four years.
During this time Nicholas competed to International level in Three Day Eventing, was an auction and stallion show rider, stud manager, he started many horses under saddle and in 2003 was the youngest competitor in the Grand Prix at the Australian National Dressage Championships.
Nicholas has lived and trained in Germany under top international riders including Martina Hannover Sternberg, Ulla Salzgeber, Hubertus Schmidt and Catherine Haddad.
Nicholas was a member of the Australian Dressage Team and winner of the 2007 Tri Nations Cup held in Johannesburg, South Africa and was long listed for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Nicholas has qualified multiple horses for the World Young Horse Championships and has won multiple Australian national championships from four year old classes through to FEI classes including twice winner of the Prix St Georges Cup in Melbourne.
In 2010, Nicholas was selected as the guest rider to judge the young horses at the New Zealand National Dressage Championships and is also an NCAS Level 1 General accredited coach.
For over 6 years, Nicholas was the manager of Suntori Park in Sydney, Australia where he based his dressage competition and training stable. He is a highly sought after clinician and was coach of the Western Australian Young riders as well as dressage coach to multiple top international Three Day Event riders.
In 2010 Nicholas relocated Wellington, Florida and for over a year was the assistant trainer to top international rider, Oded Shimoni based at Stillpoint Farm. Nicholas is also the rider and trainer of the talented PRE stallion, Fiero HGF originally owned in full by Robert Dover. Nicholas now splits his time between Canada and Florida working with partner, Canadian Olympian, David Marcus. Since his arrival to the North America, Nicholas has shown all levels from 3 year old stallion classes all the way through International Grand Prix. He is currently listed on the Australian National Dressage Elite Squad, A Squad and Futures squad with 3 different horses.
