Video Description

Part 1: Cesar Torrente begins this training session with a beautiful four year old establishing a relaxed, free walk, and when they begin the trot work they do so gradually and softly, keeping the relaxation encouraged in the walk. The emphasis is on a slower tempo with adding easy bending on the short ends of the arena with straight short diagonals between. Repeating this pattern they add transitions to the walk and back to the trot. After many lovely, soft transitions, Cesar asks him to next work on leg yields from the centerline. The tempo quickens, so they work to slow down and make sure he isn’t running through the outside shoulder.
