Years ago I rode with John Lassetter, from the UK. At the time I was riding my 4-year-old gelding that was having a forward problem and rearing. John was great with helping me from the ground with the whip. He backed up my leg with the whip when the horse got confused. The horse reared several times throughout the clinic and this didn’t faze him. He simply helped me get the correct response. I had watched previous clinics with him and rode with him on other horses. He uses cones and trot poles. I think he is super at giving the horse and rider a variety of exercises to use. He would use the cones and poles with the various riders and horses no matter the level. He tailored them to each individual’s goals and needs depending on what they working on, or trying to improve.
